4 Plants Cup Full Results
Below you can find the reviews submitted for each category, and the breakdown of the final scores. We won’t post the competitor names publicly, but feel free to utilize your bragging rights (or hide, if you got a low score) yourself!
*Note: The grid full breakdown looks best on a desktop, but the winners are noted below for convenience.
First Place - Amateur Outdoor - # 9
Congratulations to competitor number #953504467 who submitted cultivar #9 to the Amateur Outdoor category! Here is what we know about this cultivar:
- Guerrilla Glue 4, from a feminized seed
- Grown in Carleton Place, Ontario
- Won by a margin of more than 130 points in the first round, and had the most bonus points awarded.
Fun fact: This grower liked their own shmoke the best! To be fair, so did everyone else. Maybe they will share their growing tips with the rest of us for the next round!

Second Place - Amateur Outdoor - # 6
Congratulations to competitor #954541518 who submitted cultivar #6 to the Amateur Outdoor category. Here is what we know about this cultivar:
- Strawberry cough
- Used organic living soil
- Grown in Vancouver, British Columbia
- Also came in second for retrospective reviews
Fun Fact: This 2nd place contestant knows quality cannabis really well! They only submitted ratings for the most well-liked cultivar #s – 1, 2, 4 and 9. But they skipped out on rating their own!

Third Place - Amateur Outdoor - # 2
Congratulations to competitor #965332608 who submitted cultivar #2 to the Amateur Outdoor category. Here is what we know about this cultivar:
- Thai Auto Flower
- Grown in Tecumseh, Ontario
- This contestant rated their own submission in the bottom 3 instead of the top 3! Perhaps they got sick of their own crop, because they specifically noted they couldn’t finish their #2 joint!
Congratulations also to all 9 of the contestants that submitted dried cannabis to the Amateur Outdoor category. Each contestant will receive an email in the coming days identifying which cultivar submission was theirs. Even if you did not do well, please know that your participation is acknowledged, appreciated, and that together we will grow even better. This is a community, and you’ll learn new growing techniques the more you do it!
Prizes and details will be released as soon as possible and communicated directly with the winners. 4 Plants Cup 2020 will be announced later this month.

The four charts below are split up like so:
Amateur Outdoor Full Results – this is a breakdown of all the options. Grouped by submission name, you can compare each review for each submission, with the total from the first round, the bonus points from the second round, and the final score. In this way, you can compare the first and retrospective rounds side by side.
First Round Comparison – this is the first round only. Grouped by any one of the cultivar ratings – visuals – the trim, structure, bag appeal; tactile – compressive feel and fragility; olfaction – expanse, magnitude, pungency, and composition of smell; and gustation – the dynamism, distinguishability, and longevity of taste – allows you to compare how different growers judged the same product. .
Retrospective Round Comparison – this is the second round only. Grouped by any one of the retrospective ratings – specifically the smoke/smoothness and effect, or the bonus points, you can cross compare cultivars and reviews.
Amateur Outdoor Gallery – this is a view of all the submissions for this category, where they’re grown, and what we know about the cultivar. We don’t have much on submission #s 1, 3 and 5 in case you competitors want to give the community the extra details we crave!
