Reviews and judging
The 4 Plants Cup has developed a review and judging process that allows us to accurately establish winners in each category based on the received data.
The 4 Plants Cup Review Process
The 4 Plants Cup review process was created to first circumvent what we often use cannabis for — effect — which is highly influenced by the cultivar, and since competitors don’t have the same starting materials, we felt this was an important omission in the initial round of reviewing.
Below you can find a breakdown of each of the review categories and the help text. This may change somewhat ahead of 2020 reviews.
Feel free to fill out the following 4 review forms with feedback instead of cannabis reviews and note as such accordingly. This will streamline the feedback process.
Round 1 Reviews
The first round is based on purely qualitative observations. You can see an example form embedded below.
This is NOT meant for competitors but if you want to, feel free to fill out the form for the cannabis that you are currently using in order to compare it to the wider community’s types over the next few months.
Round 2 Retrospective Reviews
The second retrospective round is based on the retrospective opinion of the cannabis once all entries have been judged.
Rosin Guidelines
Round 1 Rosin Reviews
The first round is based on purely qualitative observations. You can see an example form embedded below.
This is NOT meant for competitors but (similar to above), feel free to fill out the form for the rosin that you are currently using in order to compare it to the wider community’s types over the next few months.
Round 2 Retrospective Reviews
The second retrospective round is based on the retrospective opinion of the rosin once all entries have been judged. As you can tell, the rosin reviews differ slightly from dried cannabis, but mostly in the first round.
